from what little i've seen of your moss shots, which are wonderful, of which files contain enough information to take them a step forward. in most of these examples you could do one easy thing. DARKEN. your textures are key. try playing with either LEVELS or CURVES. remember to rename any changes to your original. unless your image enhancement is limited, try to avoid using the bright and contrast tools. it is an ok thing to start with but the other two are better.
p.s. i also did a little sharpen and blur enhancement. i would be happy to help in that department.

i agree with vecours big time. TRIPOD. this will help you in many ways. you will be forced to spend more time with composition, have better control of exposure preferences and be more committed to the shot over all. i know you have limited production software from a prior conversation but, i will urge you to invest in one. your pictures are worth it. the production end is fun ..... grueling ..... but fun. it's like having a dark room in your living room. then you will be among the ranks of people who keep a long, never ending list of " WHAT YOU NEED TO BUY IS ......."

what ever you get make sure it has a tool to sharpen and blur. i suspect this is something up your alley. you seem to like to select your depth of focus. it's a good thing. and this tool will help you fine tune it more in the production end.
this shot is open for crit.....
